In mid-July I am starting Beachbody® 21 Day Challenge with a group of people who are dedicated to taking their lifestyle to the next level! As such I will be going through older recipes and converting them to the container system for anyone who might be following their program. Their Shakeology® formula is wonderful and is much better than the protein shakes I was using to start my days. Over the upcoming weeks and months I will be sharing my journey as I continue to transition to whole foods and an overall healthier lifestyle.

Today I am sharing a delicious recipe for a Chocolate, Banana and Almond Shakeology! It is a great way to start your day or enjoy after a workout. Shakeology comes in different flavors and I used Vanilla for this recipe. All I needed to do was add a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa to transform it into a chocolate shake! For a thicker shake use 8 ounces of Vanilla Almond Milk. Another option is 8 ounces Vanilla Almond Milk and 4 ounces spring water. (Be sure to use unsweetened ingredients as you do not want to add sugar to a healthy recipe.)
Healthy Tip: Start your day with a big glass of water to stay hydrated!
8 ounces Vanilla Almond Milk, Unsweetened (less than 40 calories)
1 Scoop Vanilla Shakeology
1 tsp. Cocoa, Unsweetened
1 Small Banana
Add the ingredients to a blender that can chop ice cubes. Pour in your Shakeology Shaker Cup that you can take on the run to enjoy a healthy breakfast or replacement meal!
