Realistic Cooking Ideas

for Busy People! And sharing our life adventures along the way!

I hope everyone who celebrates Easter enjoyed their day! I thought I would share a few pictures from our Easter. It was a beautiful day in New York with sunny skies and birds singing! Lets hope the nicer weather is here to stay! We had plenty of food and of course lots of left overs to make the week a bit easier when it comes to dinner. You will see a picture of our dessert. I posted that recipe last year and it is called: Mom’s Orange and Pineapple Cake. To view the recipe click here. The recipe for the Yams can be found by clicking here. All and all it was a nice Easter with my husband and my parents.

Easter is late this year and coincides closely with my husband’s birthday and next up is Mother’s Day. I am already trying out a potential recipe! Greg spent a little time this weekend working outside – it was a harsh winter so there will be a lot of clean up! I hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Very nice! we kept it low key as it is just my husband and I…ham steak, tater salad, steamed asparagus and a sundae from Bruster’s Ice Cream. It was a lovely day and happily quiet. I missed my mom and when I called her, she was baking a ham for just her and her roommate! I imagine they will eat off it until they get truly sick of it. I*’m glad your day was sunny and festive.

Your Easter dinner and day sounds nice! Glad your mother was cooking dinner for herself and her roommate. I know what you mean about the ham – you just cannot finish all of it!! I am not a big ham lover so I get tired of it pretty quickly. πŸ™‚

I want to come to your house for dinner; it sounds (and looks!) absolutely lovely. πŸ™‚
