Como Park 18

Saturday we took our first walk at Como Park where I enjoyed taking pictures to capture moments of the transition from a harsh winter to the signs of spring. Greg played disc golf and we joined a couple of young guys who just happened to be Software Developers! It was a beautiful day and the park was overflowing with people breaking out of their houses! The park was rather mucky with small streams on the fairways and muddy t-boxes. One of the players discs landed in the small streams from all the snow and rain and then other times in the real creeks. We were able to save a couple through Greg’s retrieval tool and one time the young guy just walked out into the fairway stream to retrieve his disc! There were a lot of ducks walking around trying not to get hit by discs! There was still a few snowbanks that had not yet melted – even though people were in their shorts! The temperatures were in the 70’s and then today it dropped to the 30s with snow! Hopefully this is the last of the nasty weather! This past weekend makes us long for the nice weather to stay so we can be outside enjoying nicer temperatures!

  1. Looks like a great place to spend quite time walking, maybe reading a book! Nice pictures, love the big house šŸ™‚

I am glad you commented on the house – I like it too!! It is a nice park for a walk, disc golf, a picnic and there is another section of the park we don’t normally visit since we go to play disc golf.
