Realistic Cooking Ideas

for Busy People! And sharing our life adventures along the way!

Today I am sharing the remaining pictures from our Salvatore’s dinner celebration for our friends who celebrated their 15th wedding celebration! I have known Ellen since I was about 16-years of age and is one of my longest friendships that has remained over time. We were in each others weddings and have been friends through the good times and difficult periods in our lives. So it was wonderful celebrating their anniversary with them. Today I am sharing the beautiful Christmas decorations from Salvatore’s entrance. Click here to view the pictures from part 1. As a side note, I took all these pictures with my iPhone 4s. I do not use a flash within a restaurant, which of course, impacted the quality of the food pictures. Everything is presented beautifully!! I had an unbelievable dinner of bruschetta, burrata caprese, and Salvatore’s Classics: a combination of house favorites, steak russell, chicken milanese & white truffle prosciutto tortellini, served with grilled asparagus. I rarely have dessert but considering the occasion I had one of my favorites: Tiramisu: ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone cheese, and flavored with cocoa. My dinner was so large I had left overs for lunch the next day, which was a nice treat.

Yes – they do such a beautiful job! I just get lost looking at the decorations. An amazing amount of work – but they love doing it.

  1. So rich it looks 🙂

It was heavenly!! A bit rich but if you did not eat everything you were okay. The leftovers were nice for lunch. 🙂

  2. How wonderful to have a friend for so many years and to still live close enough to share in one another’s milestone celebrations! Again, the decorations are just amazing!

    Enjoy your weekend, Bernice!
