Realistic Cooking Ideas

for Busy People! And sharing our life adventures along the way!

Tomato Basil Orzo Soup final picture

Today I am going to share a few recipes that I posted last year that my newer readers may not have seen. They are perfect for this time of year and may give you some inspiration for your fall cooking!

This is a great recipe for Tomato Basil Orzo Soup, which is the cover picture. This is a wonderful spin on the traditional tomato soup as it is hardy making a great lunch or dinner. It is one of my favorites to make once the weather gets colder.

Pumpkin Puree Final Pic
Last year I made my own pumpkin puree. In this posting I provide directions on how you can take those little pumpkin pie pumpkins and turn them into puree!

This is a wonderful Halloween and fall recipe for Creamy Pumpkin Soup with a Kick!

Of course it would not be fall without pumpkin pie!

Murgh Mumtaz Mahal
A newer soup for me is Murgh Mumtaz Mahal or Indian Chicken Curry Soup. I had this while on vacation in New Hampshire and fell in love with this soup! I will not say it is an authentic recipe – it is my version based upon a lot of research.

Thank you! It is that time of year!! I love a hardy soup with a nice crusty, french bread. My soups usually end up being stews!

It’s the time of year when I start making soups. Thanks for the recipes.

Your welcome! I need to look for some new recipes for soups and stews. It is getting pretty cold where we live in the Northeast.

  3. I have been craving soup all week! Will definitely be making your Tomato Basil Orzo Soup as soon as I get to the grocery store. 🙂
