AMC Highland Center Crawford Notch 1
This is the last part of my experiences with dining out during our New Hampshire trip. See part 1 and part 2. Of all the lunches and dinners we had in NH, the AMC Highland lodge at Crawford had the best food. The sandwiches were very fresh, filling, and excellent service! There was typically a chili or vegetarian chili, salads, and other foods. I guess when you cater to hikers your meals are at a higher standard. You can stay at the AMC Highland lodge and their prices include breakfast and a family-style dinner. If they were open to the public for dinner that is where we would have ate. For more information about the AMC Highland Lodge click here for last years post. It is a beautiful location to have your lunch – whether you eat indoors or outside. It does not get much better!

  1. Loved the photos, it looks like a really wonderful experience. I especially like the thought that went in to the playscape.

The playground was very interesting. I did not know what it was at first. The AMC Highland lodge does support children programs such as taking them on day hikes and such. It is great to see children learning to love the outdoors and hiking at such a young age.

Glad you finally had a good meal! I was starting to worry.

ha ha ha – we were too!!!

  3. Love the photos, Bernice! And I also appreciate your honest assessment of your dining experiences. Dining out can be such a roll of the dice when traveling!

Thanks Melia! It is a struggle and we prefer not to go to the chains since you want to try the local food. But sometimes it does not work out as you hope. I love trying new dishes and I did gain inspiration to try new dishes with my own personal touches. Our overall trip to NH was fantastic!
