Sonnenberg Waterfalls 10

Please see part one, two, three, four, five, six, and seven , of the Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park series. Today’s posting is about their waterfalls. Some of the pictures might overlap with other postings but they are so beautiful in many ways. Many of their waterfalls are still working which was a nice treat. I find waterfalls to be so peaceful – maybe that is why I like hiking to waterfalls.

  1. The architectural elements in combination with the plantings provide some interesting directions. The photos are really useful in demonstrating what they are trying to achieve in the garden. Thanks for the wonderful information, it is a real source of new ideas,

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the pictures and am getting inspiration from their gardens. I am sure in Mary’s time the rock gardens were more grand as they were 3 separate gardens. Now they are condensed into one garden. I am happy that there are people who are taking care of the mansion and gardens.
