I have received some wonderful recognition from fellow bloggers with their awards and I would like to properly thank them. When I started blogging it was because we were tired of expensive restaurant food where the quality did not support the high prices. Since we were going to be eating at home more often, I needed to expand my selection of recipes. What I did not realize is how many wonderful bloggers I would “meet” and “chat with”. I am thoroughly enjoying the blogging world and as such I would like to share what I appreciate about each person who nominated me for an award or awards. Thank you to everyone for your support and friendship! Bernice

Peri’s Spice Ladle
Peri is one of my earlier followers – when you start a blog you wonder will anyone follow me? I am fortunate to connect with Peri. I love reading her blog as I learn so much about Indian cooking and spices. She gave me great advice when I was exploring how to make Indian Chai. I reviewed her Masala Chai and Ginger Spiced Chai during my research. I had a lot of questions on how to roast the spices, the proper ratio, and Peri was great help. Plus she has a ton of experience in hospitality and she shares her experience in hosting parties.
Mama Sheri’s Blog
I enjoy reading and “chatting” with Mama Sheri as she shares stories about her farm life and wonderful pictures of her farm animals. I just love her peacock plus the beautiful picture she posted on January 29, 2013 of Liberty and Baby Girl! This is an award-winning picture of a tiny cat and much larger dog – who looks very gentle. Just precious!
Chef Doru’s Blog
Chef Doru has wonderful recipes that I can see myself making. He does a lot of research for his recipes and looks like he spoils his family and friends with some wonderful meals! I also like how his wife also spoils him back with some great desserts! Chef Doru has a great Chicken Breast Roulade he posted on January 27th and the wonderful, decadent Chocolate Cake that his wife made and he posted on January 22nd.
The Cathie Barash Blog
I love that Cathie is a positive person who shares great advice encouraging people to take control of their life through actionable steps. She has a 21-day personal development e-book that I purchased for my Kindle. As a results-oriented person I love these types of e-books. Stop by her blog for an inspiring posting because I am sure you will find something that will enrich your life!
baby boomer bakes
I like the warm and inviting impression you get when you visit Nikki’s blog. Her style is mostly southern recipes, which adds a nice element to my food adventures. I enjoy her wonderful baking and can imagine enjoying them with a good cup of tea! You should check out her “Southern Meyer Lemon Strawberry Shortcake” – it looks scrumptious!
Vinicooksveg – Amazing & fun… Indian cooking!!
Vinita’s blog is a bit different for me since she is a vegetarian – that is what I enjoy about her blog. Whether you are or are not a vegetarian you can learn a lot from her recipes. Plus I can add some wonderful new foods to my breakfast and dinners. She has a great recipe you should check out for “Tomato and carrot soup – Indian Style!”
The TASTE of India!
This is a wonderful blog of homemade Indian food! The recipes and a lot of the ingredients are unknown to me. However, that is what I enjoy about this blog – I am expanding my culinary knowledge allowing me to explore new flavors! I like how her fried rice is prepared with different ingredients than I am accustomed – it looks delish!
