Realistic Cooking Ideas

for Busy People! And sharing our life adventures along the way!

I love making this dish! This is a delicious version of a Baked Parmesan Tilapia that reduces a lot of the calories and fat of similar recipes. This recipe can be made with low-fat Alfredo sauce or your favorite red sauce. This is one of my go-to meals. I can be serving a wonderful dinner in about 30-minutes! It pairs nicely with rice or a baked potato. I hope you enjoy this meal!

Ingredients
1 Tilapia fish, rinsed and dried
Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Panko Bread Crumbs
1 Tbsp Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Low-fat Alfredo Sauce or Red Sauce
Basil, dried

Tips
The Panko bread crumbs add a nice crunchy topping. I buy shredded Parmesan cheese to save time. While the oven is pre-heating you can assemble your Parmesan Tilapia fish; and while it is baking you can microwave a baked potato or rice. If serving over rice, you may want to heat additional sauce. Make extra for left-overs as it reheats nicely!

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375. While the oven is heating, spray a baking pan with non-stick spray. Take the Tilapia fish and brush with olive oil and place in your baking pan. Cover the fish in low-fat Alfredo sauce or your favorite red sauce. Evenly distribute your Panko bread crumbs and shredded parmesan cheese over the fish. Top with basil.

Bake for around 20-minutes or until the fish comes to temperature. Place fish over rice or serve with a baked potato. Enjoy your delicious, quick to make meal!
